Electricity restored in most parts of the country – Kenya Power

“Restoration efforts to the rest of the country are ongoing.”

Electricity has been restored to most parts of the country, Kenya Power has said.

This is after most parts of the country were hit by a blackout Friday night.

Kenya Power in their second update on the matter said supply had been restored to the entire Western Region, as well as parts of Central Rift, South Nyanza and Nairobi.

This includes Nakuru, Kericho, Bomet, Naivasha, Nyandarua, Kisii, Migori, Nyamira, Homa Bay, Machakos, Athi River and parts of Kiambu county.’

“In Nairobi, areas such as the Central Business District, Westlands and the Industrial Area are also back on supply,” Kenya Power said in a statement.

“Restoration efforts to the rest of the country are ongoing,” it said.

Kenya Power had confirmed power supply had been lost to various parts of the country except North Rift region and sections of Western region.
